THE STORY SO FAR ....................Travis Texas was born in a crossfire hurricane at mid-night down in Tuscahoola , deep in the purple mountains. He never saw his Father , and at the age of two , his Mother left him in a downtown bar called ' The Lucky Dollar ' , where he lived off spilt beer and peanuts .
He began to join in the Saturday night blues sessions , sitting on a stool and resting the guitar on a table. By age 12 he was a regular in the band .
For 15 years , Travis played every Blues joint and honky tonk in Purple County .

The hookers in the Lucky Dollar took care of his education , but he always ran with the wrong crowd - and pretty soon he got sent to the dreaded Parchfield Farm penitentiary . After Travis got out , there was more trouble when a liquor store hold-up went wrong and the cops chased him down to Mexico .
Travis decided to try his luck in Europe - where he refined his Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan guitar show , Being first and foremost a blues player - Travis Texas knows just where Jimi & Stevie are coming from - this is why it sounds RIGHT !

Travis is notoriously difficult to photograph - but , here he is just leaving Antone's club in Austin , Texas in the 80's. Times were tough then .
Damn ! - nearly got him here ! - in a rare visit home to Tuscahoola - Mom & Dad got him a new hat .
The only woman who ever knew Travis really well --was Pandeelia Famosa - but she refuses to be interviewed or photographed to this day .
Many say this is Travis' daughter - Mary-Beth Famosa

Newsflash - 30 May 2007 - Travis has been sighted in Paris , France .
He's changed hats again , trying to fool us , but this is him alright -
we didn't approach him , as he's kinda unpredictable when surprised .
God dammit - how many hats has he got ? !
